Who keeps scrapbooks? Seth Godin, for one.

Seth Godin, noted entrepreneur, marketer and author, posted “Nostalgia is a basic human emotion” on his blog yesterday. He reminds readers that when we take photos, it allows us to re-visit that present moment in the future. He even suggests keeping scrapbooks during launches of companies, projects and campaigns. Godin says they are reminders that you are “doing something important and that time is precious”.

In helping our customers create digital memory books, Kristi and I are exceedingly aware that time is precious. Recently, we’ve helped mothers, fathers, and grandparents assemble graduation tributes. As we place the seniors’ photos alongside their baby pictures, it underscores for us how swiftly the river of time moves through each of our lives. We believe that our books help turn the intangible memories that float around in our brains into something real, something you can hold, and something you can share. And it’s a way to reclaim those precious moments before they fade.
